HISTORY

The Story Behind Deperson: From Concept to Creation

In the summer of 2022, after enduring difficult work environments, the founders of Error Thing made a bold decision to leave their jobs and pursue their passion for creating games in a peaceful, creative space. What started as a simple idea—just a sketch on paper—quickly grew into Deperson, a project driven by a desire to build games that inspire and engage.

After a year of dedicated work, Deperson evolved into a full-fledged narrative game, and the team entered the development phase. Currently, the game is progressing toward a planned release in the last quarter of 2025, with ambitions to expand to Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms in the future. Along the way, Error Thing is sharing their development journey with a growing community, fostering creativity and collaboration.

Based in Turkey, the development team set out to modernize classic point-and-click adventure puzzles by incorporating platformer-style challenges and unique character abilities. The game's distinct art style, atmospheric environments, and deep narrative structure have been designed to engage players on multiple levels.
